The suggester says: ~kabarsa's Science-Fiction artworks have that fantastic touch I look for in this category. Browsing in his gallery you can find his sci-fi works are not monotonous, but really different to each other. That fact, combined with his great drawing style is a perfect reason to have a look on his delicious works. Enjoy please! (Suggested by ^Atramina and Featured by `gucken)

The thing I love with this piece is how dark and lonely it seems. Most space related art is full of nebulaes, asteroids and stars in all kinds of funky colors. That stuff always felt extremely chaotic and crowded to me.
Space scares me. It is the zone of death where nothing can live. It is extremely cold, no air, no gravity, completely different preasure and no ozon layer to give shelter from the rays of the sun.

This piece pictures all that. There are no visible stars, just a few rocks, some junk, but otherwise an infinite void of lifeless nothingness. Just looking at it almost makes me feel like I'm choking.

Strive for perfection and pray you never achieve it.

Thank you! Space scares me too. Universe itself is quite scary. Considering it's size and incredible amounts of energy it's the scariest place ever known =) I saw these big numbers a lot of times, but every time when you think that Canis Majoris is just nothing compared to some nebula and all this is nearly invisible to our galaxy, and then black holes, quasars... it's just unthinkable 0_0

Oh, yes!
Instant fav!
Boba Fett's ship on steroids!
I love those "propeller blade" struts, 2 for each engine(one from the wing and the other from fuselage). If you add a third strut for each engine, situated on top of the engine(and looking like a vertical tail, parallel with the semifolded wing tips) you will give the impression that those engines have 3-bladed propellers! And this way the ship will look even more "antique"!
:iconjapanimes:
I'm going to call this ship the An-2 of the 22nd century!
:D
:iconjapanimes:
One last thing and I'm done. In the right lower part of ship's nose there is a "bulge". Is that a loading/access hatch? And if it is so, how do you open it? Lateral or down like a staircase?
:iconkabarsa:
Thank you very much! Hehe, you're really right about the third strut, it'd be interesting :D And about the "bulge", it's just a case for some external scanning and radio location equipment =)
